Disguise of the Moon series is a product of two months work. Whenever we have fun conversations, we always discuss plot development for our stories. That is how we get ideas for our digital arts. Of course, AR’s music plays a big role as artistic and creative inspiration, but we put in the effort to create and elaborate on the concept.
You cannot see how we worked with some stock images here cos we merged them to reduce the file size. One photo manipulation takes approximately 4 to 6GB. It’s really huge for a PSD file. We always try to improve the quality of our work which means we spend a lot on learning. This time, we focused on enhancing our colour grading, lighting and shadow techniques because we want to create quality art. As usual, we prioritised on image processing such as upgrading low-quality screenshots to high-quality ones. This particular screenshot of the female host was taken in nanosecond basis cos we wanted mixed emotions of happy, pleased, femininity with closed eyes. We captured it when she blinked. Imagine rendering 480p images to 2k quality images. We always ensure that the physical built suits the host even though they’re different from our characters or else it would look fake. The manip progress of the characters will be uploaded soon. Our goal is to create photographic image manipulations. We know we have a lot to learn, but hopefully, one day we would be able to achieve that.
The new things we learnt around these two months were 8D audio processing, restoring and mastering existing audio clips. 8D processing was very complicated because it takes multiple testing of sound direction, frequency of shifting process, studio reverb, etc. The portion of film score we used in this series’ motion art was unclear so, we reduced the noise and mastered the audio. We have a lot to explore and to strengthen our skills. We are looking forward to all the things we are going to discover. Thank you, 🌻. All the love, Lynn and Shia.
